Wasabi turns 3!

 Bit of a bike post today.  Its Wasabi's 3rd birthday!  boy have we done some kms! 15,148.l kms to be exact. 

 Ive gone up 1000's of metres in elevation.

 We've ridden to many cafes for many a good coffee and a laugh with friends.

 We did the 7 peaks together.

 Stopped to listen to the sounds of the bush.

 Been snowed on as we descended Lake Mountain

 Rode with my daughter when she came home for a visit

 Rode with my mamil and our friend while supporting them on their 3 peaks journey.

 Spent many hours with m mamil in the saddle, complaining, suffering, supporting, singing, laughing and getting fit.

I love my bike, she gives me freedom and the opportunity to get lost and find myself again.

Special birthday

Sorry for the sideways photo... but here is my last basket full of home grown lettuce and rocket... its been lovely having my own lettuce in my lunches, even the fisherman/mamil is happy to eat his rabbit food!

My mum turned 80 this week... we had a lovely high tea party for her yesterday and the cake was really yummy... came from Greensborough cake shop Pelligra.  Was a strawberry sponge as mum dislikes mud cake, so I wasn't about to buy her one of those!

Today I went out for a ride, went and did 3 repeats on this road in Whittlesea, just around the corner from where I had my accident.... after I did the repeats I turned left at the exact spot and about the same time I reckon.. 12 weeks to the day.  I survived.  I also had a bit of fun taking photos for a change!

This cannot be said for my hubbys inner tube..... we cruised down Plenty road together and all of a sudden he pulled over.... this little sucker was embedded in his rear tyre.  the little bit was just poking out of the tyre.... I tried to pull it out, ripping my nails to shreds... then he took it off and discovered the rest of this piece of nail hidden....  he is getting faster with his tube changing!

birthdays

I recently celebrated my birthday. Last year there was a lot going on in my world and I didnt really celebrate, in fact I worked and didnt tell anyone until I left at the end of the day.

This year was different!! My day was awesome and I was surrounded by people that I love. I started the day with my fisherman and the girls who gave me a stunning pandora bracelet with 5 charms. Then I had an excellent boxing/circuit session at the gym with my friends.


Lunch was next on the menu and mine was yummy.... I had a vegetarian breakfast with bacon.... yep you read correctly I had bacon with it heheh, much nicer than the full breakfast.

One of the girls had a nice thai beef salad mmmmm.

I also received another 2 pandora beads AND a beautiful scarf.... I love my scarves.

After lunch my friend from work came over and spoilt me rotten with not one but 3 more pandora beads. So by the end of the day I had 10 beads... need to photograph them in the light of day.

Dinner with my family at our favourite japanese resturant and then topped off an excellent day with my quilting buddies!

I was throughly spoilt and have my friends and family to thank for helping me have such a wonderful day
